Mother's Day

I've been working a bit lately so not much time for making pretty things. I was able to make Josh's mother a bracelet for mother's day, I borrowed the design from a bracelet a friend gave me. I really don't know what to do for my mom though, I've given her mountains of jewelry, besides she is a lot like me she only wears one piece for ever then eventually moves onto another.
This bracelet was the first time I've ever used that weird stretch magic stuff, and I don't like it. Bracelets aren't my favorite either. Yesterday I found the cutest box thinggys to put jewelry in to give to people. Yay dollar store!

I dont want to be hammered

Remember the swirly I was practicing on. I was looking at duckduckblogstuff today and it made me want to hammer some wire so i did. In the last post I talked about the cream soda aluminum can earrings, well here they are. Haven't done anything with the pull tabs yet but I'm thinking of things.

Oh Creammy Beige

These earrings are really the first ones I've been really proud of. They are much better then yesterday's version. I have been practicing my swirls as well. Looking at my cream soda can I can see little discs that i can make earrings with and the pull tab possibly a clasp for necklace. Well, I always did like jewelry that looked like it was made from random crap on the side of the road, at least if I go that route its almost guaranteed to be unique. I know most of my stuff right now is simple and everyone has seen it once or twice maybe around souvenir rest stops, but hopefully once I know what I'm doing I will have direction.

I am almost done with the blog layout and little things, still haven't made a header or banner but ill get to it once I find something I can work with! Also trying to come up with a better name, Kellie Bryant Design is so boring.

The Beginning

So I started making jewelry a few weeks ago, I was inspired a while back by a lady I met in Florida while I was on my honeymoon. Her little investment was called 'Girl on a Wire', I've tried looking for a website but apparently she doesn't have one.

So anyway I am setting up this blog to show how much I progress...or not. Here is some things I have worked on so far. I think Ive already come quite a long way from where I was just a few weeks ago, heck I learned something new today. Today I learned how to make a briolette wrapped loop. I owe so much to Fire Mountain Gems and Beads I love all the video tutorials.
